For all our assessments we typically recommend completing the assessment on your laptop or desktop device for the best experience and to allow the full functionality of navigating any of the questions and required resources in order for you to answer the questions.
If this is not possible, then completion on a mobile or tablet device is available for
some of our assessments and will be referenced in your invite. But be advised that you will need to navigate around the screen more to view all the content.
Whichever device you use, please ensure that your internet connection is strong and stable before you start the assessment. You can use a VPN if necessary.
We also recommend that you complete the assessment in a quiet environment and in one sitting wherever possible.
For all of our assessments, please see the browser requirements listed below;
- Ensure that no browser extensions are enabled that could alter the content on the page, especially those that perform language translations, as they may interfere with the presentation of the assessment content
- Ensure that your device's operating systems are up to date
- If you are using Windows, we recommend you use Chrome as your web browser
- If this is not possible, you can use Firefox
- Edge and Opera are supported, however please not that these run on the same engine as Chrome. If you encounter issues using Chrome, you may encounter these on both Edge and Opera too.
- If you are using a Mac, please use the latest version of Safari, and a version of Mac OS which is still being maintained by Apple; either the current version or one of the two previous versions
- Mac OS 10.15 "Catalina" or older and Chrome for Mac are both unsupported
Additional Requirements for Assessments with Video Questions
For those assessments where a video answer is also required, you will also need to;
- Ensure your device has a working camera and microphone
- Each video assessment will contain a Video Set Up Tile, which must be completed first. This will enable you to test your camera and microphone along with completing a Warm Up question before you start your actual assessment
- If you wish to test your camera/microphone works outside of the assessment, you can visit this website and follow the onscreen instructions, Select audio and video sources

If you experience any difficulties whilst completing your assessment, please contact our Support Team via the Help function in your assessment, and include the following information
- The text of the question you are encountering the error message for
- A screenshot of the screen you see when attempting to record a response and ensure the URL is showing clearly in the web browser or include the URL as a link
- The name of the organisation you are taking the assessment for
